Depression - Multiple Treatment

New York, NY - clocks were turned back and darkness of winter is coming. Winter means different things to different people, but for many is a time of depression.

Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is a type of seasonal depression with a specific flavor, closely linked to the darkness of winter. Those affected by SAD on up depressed in the months of autumn and winter, but much happier in the spring and the bright summer months. In addition, the stress of the holiday season between Thanksgiving and New Year's Day, OSA can lead to seasonal depression and more.

Accept your feelings
I admit that the season can be sad and stressful, and that the DA's good to feel this way.

Have an open hand
Focus is to make someone else happy.

FORGIVE
If you need to spend time with you people, ODA and not, as an opportunity for you to develop the courage and kindness. Discover the healing power of forgiveness in you huge.

Avoid alcohol
Alcohol is a depressant and its effects can persist for days after.

FEED YOUR SOUL
Try not to get caught out materialistic, bearing in mind that these holidays are a very important spiritual event, too!

Search LIGHT
Many people with SAD can be helped significantly with light therapy. Regular exposure to anywhere from 2-6 hours per day at 2500 lux of full spectrum light seems to induce an improvement in a few days.

If all these strategies, no, no, AOT be afraid to seek professional help. Remember that depression is not weakness, IALI is a perfectly normal reaction to all types of stress. But if the depression persists for weeks or months, or if at any point you feel suicidal, get help.
