Dealing With Depression - Cure Depression

SAD, also known as seasonal affective disorder is a common problem, which has a number of treatments. It is quite natural to feel sad or slow down during the dark months, as sunlight stimulates the production of neurotransmitters in the brain that helps lighter mood. If you are already prone to depression, depression can feel like some winter sets in, but if these feelings persist, consider getting professional help. Meanwhile, try these treatments and see if it works to help you shake off the mood:

1. Determine if you are depressed, and if it is indeed seasonal. If you feel depressed, no matter what happens to you or problems enjoy the things you normally love, you might be depressed. If you can tell when it started, you can link potential change of season. Do you sometimes feel like that in the past were almost at the same time?

2. Let the light in your life. Get out on sunny days or open the curtains and let natural light as possible. If you feel worse on cloudy days, put lots of lights in your house.

3. Get plenty of exercise. Exercise every day, raise the level of serotonin, which acts as a free, healthy, anti-depressants. A walk around the block can be, or you can try to do more, but getting out is a good start to cheer you up. Do what you love make you feel better.

4. Stop listening to sad music! When upset, it is easy to turn on music that matches your mood. Choose something completely different, optimistic, cheerful. This will seem a little strange at first, but it should start to boost morale after a while. The next thing you know, you'll dance!

5. Talk to your doctor before taking herbal supplements, but may be an additional stimulus to your body needs. Things like 5-HTP (hydroxy-tryptophan) or St. John's wort body increases production of serotonin like an antidepressant. Be sure to make sure you can manage what you choose and does not conflict with another prescription drug that you already are.

6. Tell a friend about your feelings, they may feel that too! Knowing that you are not alone with your thoughts can be of great help to get through depression. Tell someone you know really cares about you and think your happiness is their happiness. Do not feel embarrassed to be honest about your thoughts, there are people who want to know the truth!
